The firm is located in the hills nearby Partanna, in the heart of Belice valley. It is an agricultural company focused on the production and the sale of olive oil. The company willingly chose to join the Integrated Farming Policy, in compliance with the integrated pest management (IPM) and phytosanitary measures, and with with the national guidelines outlined by the national committee for integrated farming established by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, pursuant to and in accordance with Ministerial Decree 2722 of 17th April 2008. During the latest years, after the proper market research that has pinpointed the possible commercial outlets, the company has decided to boost its activity focusing on the production of extra virgin olive oil, setting out all the strategies aimed at improving the quality of the product, with the goal of reaching the interested market niche thanks to its genuineness and unique organoleptic characteristics. Nocellara del Belice is a very particular cultivar which grows only in the fertile fields of this region of Sicily, the Belice valley. It has an intense fruity and herbaceous flavor, with a slightly spicy aftertaste, and a typical emerald color. The company has also already initiated the procedure in order to obtain â€œValle del Beliceâ€ P.D.O. (Protected Designation of Origin) Certification within fall 2015.
